Founded in 1992 in Vienna, im Kinsky auctions an average of 2,000 lots annually in their beautiful building, Palace Kinsky.

Rather than just banging the hammer and making a sale, im Kinsky focuses on unveiling outstanding artworks, sometimes from unknown collections and incorporate them into our mental landscape of images and our cultural memory.

They put an emphasis on the story an artwork tells – the artist who created it, its previous owners and the meanings it holds. They care about how the sale at their auction influences an object’s history.

Im Kinsky holds auctions mostly focused on Old Master Paintings, 19th Century Paintings, Antiques, Impressionist & Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Art Nouveau & Design.
