Swiss auction house Koller is due to put an extensive collection of Asian Art on auction on June 6 and 7. The sale includes rare Buddha and Hindu gods’ statues, porcelain, arms, paintings, textile and so much more.

The catalogue includes an exquisite throne-like daybed, also called an opium bed, from China, Qing dynasty. Opium holds a great importance in 19th century China and this daybed bears witness to those times. This carved Hongmu day bed is richly inlaid with dreamstones, mother-of-pearl and brass wire.
