Born and raised on the coast of California, Stephen Dee Edwards spend a lot of time at the beach. He used the ocean as inspiration for his work and crated abstract interpretations of his childhood memories of the Pacific ocean. He started his career with ceramics but later on he realized the endless possibilities of glass blowing.

“The fluid motion of the molten glass speaks to me as I work. I react to what I see and feel in the glass. Each piece is a collection of ideas and reactions from a particular moment in time that will never come again.” Stephen Dee Edwards, 1988
